You may think that moments spent playing with your dog is routine; but for your most loyal buddy these are priceless moments that will bond you both always.

When you start encouraging playtime with your dogs, let them pick up the scent of the item you are going to play with. If your dog is new, leash him with a so you can control his activity if need be.

Once they smell the toy, you have their full attention. Now, play hide and seek with this toy. Your dog will love to use his senses to seek the toy you have hidden. When he finds it, be sure to reward him with a yummycookie.

 

Playing with your dog can be a relaxing time for you too. We are so caught up with the daily stress of life that we forget how it can take as little as five minutes to distress with your pet. Go shopping with him if you can and pick out a new personalize pet tag for him. He will appreciate the time spent together too.

Find your neighbourhood dog park. Ensure your pet has a stainless steel pet tag and a nice strong pet leash and take him there regularly. He will not only get his fair share of exercise there, he will also get to interact with other dogs and owners. This helps your dog make friends when guests visit you.

There are many interactive toys available in the market today. Some are designed for search and play, while some are designed to improve your dog’s coordination. Spending twenty minutes a day playing with your dog will reassure him of your love for him. In exchange you will have a pet who is loyal and one who will wait for the sound of your car at any given hour of the day.
